Abstract:
The efficiency of mass transfer and outflow in close binaries is derived.
The consequences of the spin angular momentum of components on the derived
quantities of the component's mass transferred/lost are discussed. The
efficiency coefficient is given for different mass ratios. The mass outflow
from the Lagrangian L_2 point is shown to be very efficient for low mass ratio
systems.
